West Virginia Paintball Fields
West Virginia is a land of many scenic Parks and destinations, as well as historic landmarks and buildings. The capital and largest city in West Virginia is Charleston, not to be confused with Charleston South Carolina. The population of the state numbers less than 2 million, but there are countless things to see and do in their international forests and cities. Some beautiful natural places include the New River Gorge National River and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Harpers Ferry National Historical Park is where the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers join, and includes many buildings and houses that date back more than 200 years. In Eastern West Virginia there are many buildings and homes that were built and were in use during the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. The towns of Harper's Ferry, Berkeley Springs, Charles Town, Martinsburg, and Shepherdstown, predate the Revolutionary War, bear the scars of the Civil War, and have remained largely untouched architecturally, since the 1950s.
Charleston West Virginia is located in the western end of the state, and includes many natural resources that has led to economic prosperity in the area. The city has rich sources of natural gas, salt, and coal that its people have mined to prosper in the region. Charleston was the site on some of the biggest battles during the Civil War. The Battle of Charleston was fought on September 13th 1862 and lasted six weeks until the Confederate Army withdrew from the region when they were heavily outnumbered.
Other interesting places to see in Eastern West Virginia include Cass Scenic Railroad Park, the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine, and Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis. Some excellent places to see in western West Virginia include Charleston-the Italian Renaissance state capital, the Blenko Glass Visitor Center and Factory Outlet in Milton, and West Virginia University in Morgantown.
West Virginia also has many exciting paintball fields. North Mountain Paintball includes 8 fields with surfaces of soft green grass and diverse bunkers such as forts, two story buildings, and inflatable bunkers. NMP's motto is "tons of sweet fields to accommodate all types of game play". If you are into attack and defend style games, players have houses, villages, and bridges to defend against attackers. If you are into speedball, there are airball arenas for players to duck behind Sup' Air bunkers and dash through lanes. The following fields were open to players in 2007: The Mounds, The Fort, The House, Skid Row, The Village, Cord Woods, Bridges, and Sup' Air. Regular games are played on their Sup' Air field as well as 3-Man and 5-Man competitive tournaments.

Other West Virginia paintball fields include Big L's Paintball Plus in Ranson, North American River Runners in Hico, and Scary Creek Paintball in Evans. Scary Creek Paintball is a four seasons sports complex with year round scenario events. Some scenario events that were played in summer 2007 included Hamburger Hill. Hamburger Hill is a tactical event where the goal of each side is to occupy and then hold various positions in the field. Scary Creek Paintball also has speedball style events in the Young Guns and Open divisions.
