South Carolina Paintball Fields
South Carolina is located in the Deep South, and has many beautiful beaches and many historic Victorian houses that still stand today. The capital of South Carolina and its largest city is Columbia. The state is known for its scenic beaches and highways. Many people enjoy taking scenic drives along the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway along Route 11. The Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway passes small towns, peach orchards, and historical sites as it traverses 130 miles of Blue Ridge foothills in the northwest corner of the state. The Ashley River Road (Route 61), which runs parallel to the river for about 11 miles north of Charlestown, leads to famous plantations and gardens. The Savannah River Scenic Highway traces the Savannah River for 100 miles along the Georgia border, winding past three lakes. Visitors to the state can find out more about their historic towns, lakes and rivers by contacting the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism at 800-872-3505 or by logging onto the website www.travelsc.com.
South Carolina is also known for its beautiful state and national parks. Some of their most visited parks include the Chattooga National Wild and Scenic River around Columbia, Hunting Beach State Park, and Hickory Knob State Resort Park. Charlestown is the most recognized city and travel destination in South Carolina. The port city of Charlestown has withstood three centuries of epidemics, earthquakes, fires, and hurricanes to become one of the South's best preserved and most beloved cities. Residents have proudly restored old downtown homes and commercial buildings, as well as more than 180 historic churches - so many that Charlestonians call their home the Holy City. Some beautiful places to visit in Charlestown include Old City Market, the Heywood-Washington House, and St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
The paintball fields of North Carolina and South Carolina are where ambitious players practice and become ready to play competitive games in the Carolina Field Owner's Association CFOA. Some CFOA games that are played in South Carolina include PBC Sports Park Charlotte. Other sites of CFOA tournaments include Windy Hill Paintball in McDonough Georgia, and The Alternate Sport in Kingsport Tennessee. PBC Sports Park Charlotte in Rock Hill South Carolina hosts several events throughout the year that feature fantastic prizes. On June 11th, 2007 PBC will host an event with prizes that include the Hummer H2. This event is known as the Spyder Cup and will be held on July 21-22, 207. Individual qualifying events will be played prior to the July 21-22 championship to see who gets to compete in the 3 on 3 tournament.

Other South Carolina paintball fields include Adrenalin Rush Paintball in Leesville, Hwy 11 Paintball in West Union, and Patriot Paintball in Conway. Patriot Paintball has 4 challenging and thrilling fields: 2 airball fields, a Hyperball field, and a Ball Wall Field. This complex is located right near Myrtle Beach, so players can relax on the beach and play paintball on the same day! Patriot Paintball in August will have a special event called Skins on the Beach, where paintball teams will compete in megarenas inside the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Proball Platinum and Chronic paintballs will be available for purchase at this event.
