Michigan Paintball Fields
Nearly all of Michigan is bordered by the Great Lakes, and the chief reason it is often called the Great Lakes State. Minnesota is an upper Midwestern state and gets its state name from Lake Michigan. Michigan in fact is bordered by four of the five Great Lakes, plus Lake Saint Claire. With calmer waters than sea coastal states, the state has become very popular among recreational boaters, wake boarders, and fishermen. No matter where you are located in the state, you are never more than 6 miles from a freshwater stream, river, lake, or great lake. The capital of the state is Lansing and its most populous city is Detroit. Detroit was and is one of the most prominent manufacturers of automobiles in the world. Detroit is the home of the famous rap musicians Eminem and Fifty Cent as well as rock musician Kid Rock.
The great lakes that border Michigan are Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Erie. The first settlers were the Native American cultures of the Chippewa, Potawatomi, and Anishnabe. These lands were formed and hunted on by Native Americans until French settlers including Jacques Marquette began establishing permanent settlements in 1668. The automotive industry is one of the most important sections of the Michigan economy. Daimler Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors all have a large base of operations in Detroit for car manufacturing. Michigan also ranks high other manufacturing industries such as engineering, life sciences, and information technology. Michigan also has a number of prominent colleges and universities, including Wayne State University, Michigan State University, and the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan is one of the moist famous college teams in the field of athletics. The University of Michigan is one of only a few college division 1 programs that regularly have top 20 ranked teams in both basket and football.
In the field of athletics, the state is known for its division 1 college football championships and basketball Final Four showings. Michigan is also known for its paintball parks and paintball teams. Organizations like the Michigan State University Paintball Club hold meetings to discuss upcoming events, hold practices and scrimmages, and compete in National Collegiate Paintball Association tournaments. To practice for NCPA events, players might play at Michigan paintball fields such as Crossfire Creek Paintball in St Clair, Fort Splat Paintball in Ludington, and Lone Wolf East Paintball in Mount Clemens. Lone Wolf Paintball is open every day of the week and also has a proshop on site where players can pick up O-rings, Wrath Accessories, gauges, gas thru grips, electronic markers, mechanical markers, and paintballs. Players can purchase paintball gear at their Long Wolf Paintball Supply Depot. Lone Wolf's style is Military Simulation of scenario/themed games, such as Medic, Reinsertion, or Submit. In the paintball game variation Submit, players are literally peppered into submission. All players are live until they call themselves out. This means that a player can continue to get tagged by paintballs and stay in the game until they call out a surrender.
