Maryland Paintball Fields
Maryland is a coastal state in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Maryland is a very prosperous state and is in the top 5 in median household income. The capital of Maryland is Annapolis, and its most populous city is Baltimore. Maryland is also known as Free State and was one of the original colonies that fought for its independence in the Revolutionary War. Maryland is near or on the unofficial border between the Northern states and the Southern states. Generally, Baltimore and the more densely populated cities have more northern characteristics, and the more rural sections of Maryland have more southern characteristics.
Maryland, like Massachusetts and California, shines in the businesses of biotechnology, with over 350 companies in the bio-tech field. Some of the largest biotechnology companies headquartered in Maryland include the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Maryland.
Because of its diverse geographical terrains, Maryland has been given the nickname "America in Miniature." That is because of the diversity of climates, elevations, and terrains a traveler may encounter when going from one end of the state to the other. In just a few days visit, a Maryland traveler may encounter green plains, low marshlands crawling with various snakes and other animals, windy rivers, rocky mountains, bays, and peninsulas. Maryland is one of the only states that does not have any natural lakes, but it does have many man made lakes. Maryland is a very green state with diverse species of fauna and flora and huge trees such as White Oak and Wye Oak. Maryland is proud of its many sports programs, from the professional levels to its rookie teams at various paintball fields throughout the state. Among the state's many great Maryland paintball fields are complexes like Fort Detrick Paintball in Frederick, Easton Extreme Paintball in Easton, and Robin Hood Paintball in Havre de Grace. Robin Hood Paintball has seven separate fields across a huge 10 acre facility. Included among its many fields is a "Bog Leg" course, three Woodsball fields, one wood spool field, and three air ball fields. Players that bring their own markers and paint can play unlimited games for only $15.00. Robin Hood host competitive tournament games throughout the year. Robin Hood hosts a Team Influence that are active at all 5 NPPL championship events. Players who buy in bulk are rewarded with some great prices on paint. Other Maryland paintball fields include Wisp Resort Paintball, Sure Shot Paintball, and Paintball Sportsland. Paintball Sports land offers paintball games such at Capture the Flag, Center Flag, Total Elimination, and Command & Conquer. Command & Conquer is a popular Attack & Defend variation that requires a fairly large fort that can be defended on all four sides. When the game starts, a group of players defend from the inside of the fort while a select few other defenders roam the outside as scouts. The attacking team must reach a certain location inside the fort to win the game.
