Maine Paintball Fields
Maine is the most northern state in New England, and is also the northernmost portion of the United States. Maine is a region known for its mountains, ski slopes, rocky coastlines, and beautiful lighthouses. Some of Maine's most famous lighthouses include Baker Island Light in Cranberry Islands, Mount Desert Rock Light in Frenchboro, and Bass Harbor Head Light in Bass Harbor. Bass Harbor Head Light sits high up on the rocks that jut out steeply over the end of the sea, and has provided many sailors and ship travelers with safe passage through Bass Harbor and Blue Hill Bay. Main is one of several states in New England. Other New England states include Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The capital of Maine is Augusta and its largest city is Portland. Maine is a very green state once you get away from its coastline, and its mountains and flat lands are thickly covered in forests.
The tallest mountain in Maine is Mount Katahdin at an elevation of 5,300 feet. Other mountains in Maine include Katahdin in Picataquis, Snow in Franklin, White Cap in Franklin, and Sugarloaf in Franklin. The Maine mountains are popular as skiing sites in the winter and for hiking and sightseeing in summer and fall. Sunday River, Black Mountain of Maine, Big Rock, and Titcomb Mountain are some of Maine's most popular downhill ski mountains. Downhill skiing is also known as Alpine skiing, and cross-country skiing is also known as Nordic skiing. Popular sites for Nordic skiing include Carter's farm XC Ski Centers in Oxford, Mt. Abram Ski Resort in Greenwood, and Coast Country Ski and Bike in Alfred. Maine is also a popular place to go in the fall, to see the lush green forest turn into all the colors of the rainbow as the region prepares for winter. To observe Maine's beautiful autumn at its most beautiful, many locals and visitors visit the Maine National Scenic Trail and Arcadia National Park near Bar Harbor.
Though Maine does not have its own professional sports team to host games, it is the home of the Portland Sea Dogs (Minor League Baseball) and it has the Red Sox to root for in Massachusetts. The Boston Red Sox are considered the home baseball team of all of New England. Maine paintball fields are also scattered around the state, from Auburn to Birch Hill Paintball in York. Birch Hill Paintball in York has many players who consider it Maine's best field, and the games are well manages. The refs and staff work hard to make the games a family-friendly experience, and enforce all safety rules and high standards of player conduct. The fields are covered in soft grass and are frequently cut to give players a good field to run on. Players have used this field for private events such as birthday parties and graduation paintball parties.
Other Maine paintball fields include Seacoast Fun Park in Trenton and Rogue Paintball in Trenton. Rogue Paintball has unique arenas such as inflatable shooting galleries and special play days.
