Louisiana is one of the most ethnically diverse states in the South, and a land with a rich and colorful culture. Louisiana is one of the most traveled to state in the South, thanks to its larges city New Orleans. The location on the Gulf of Mexico and its eastern border, the Mississippi River, has been both a blessing and challenging to the residents of Louisiana. The weather from the Gulf of Mexico provides the state with plenty of rain for their agricultural interests, but has been the source of rough weather that its residents have had to endure. The residents of Louisiana have had to rebuild from various tropical storms and Hurricanes Katrina, Audrey, Betsey, Andrew, and Rita. Louisiana has many beautiful state parks worth visiting, including Grande Isle State Park, Tickfaw State Park, Chicot State Park, and Lake Claiborne State Park. Louisiana has many great state historic sites that include Rebel State Historic Site in Marthaville, Mansfield State Historic Site, and Locust Grove State Historic Site in St. Francisville. Louisiana is composed of 5 regions: North Louisiana, Central Louisiana, Arcadiana, Florida Parishes, and Greater New Orleans.
New Orleans is the most interesting part of Louisiana from a traveler's perspective. This city has the most ethnically diverse population in the state, and it is famous for its culture, food, musical history, and fine colleges. Some of New Orleans' fine colleges include Tulane University, the University of New Orleans, and Loyola University New Orleans. New Orleans is also famous for its restaurants and dishes such as crawfish, etouffee, and jambalaya. New Orleans, along with New York (Harlem Renaissance), is a great center of Jazz music, with Louis Armstrong as one of their most famous Jazz musicians. New Orleans and Louisiana are also known for musical disciplines such as Delta blues, Zydeco music, and Cajun music.
Besides Mardi Gras and New Orleans' famous French Quarter, this fine state is also known for its Louisiana paintball fields. At Paintball Planet in New Orleans, players have a large indoor field to battle in even when the weather outside gets particularly stormy. Paintball Planet and Skatepark has two retail stores within the complex to fill up on air for player's electronic markers, or for that new skateboard that is designed for various tricks and jumps. The staff at this park is very friendly and the games are organized so that there are short breaks between games. The field is open for several hours between open and closing, and paintball players can play all day for $40. Skateboarders have access to the skatepark all day for only $10.

Other Louisiana paintball fields include Shell Shocked Paintball, Paintball Command, and Bayou Paintball. Bayou Paintball in Monroe has four fields, each with their own unique bunker systems and terrains. The fields include special obstacles and special effects on their Mine Games Field. On the Mine Games Field, players must worry about dodging paintballs as well as tripping off land mines and seeing through smoke screens.
