Iowa Paintball Fields
Iowa is a Midwestern state that has attractions such as the Highway 3 Raceway, Adventureland Park, and Bloomsbury Farm. Iowa is bordered by Nebraska, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Iowa is bordered by the Mississippi River at its Eastern boundary. Iowa is a land of many vast and beautiful lakes, including the East Okoboji Lake, West Okoboji Lake, and Spirit Lake. Spirit Lake is the largest natural lake in Iowa and is a lake with a rich history among Americans and Native Americans. The lake was carved out by titanic glaciers that were around during the last ice age. The capital city of Iowa is Des Moines, a giant in the economic landscape of America. Some major Fortune 1000 businesses with a large base of operations in Des Moines include Pioneer Hi-Bred, ING Group, Wells Fargo, and the Meredith Corporation. Iowa is a state with an unremarkable landscape and is composed primarily of gently rolling plains. The highest point in the state is Hawkeye Point. Hawkeye Point is a mountainous region that reaches high over farmlands and plains for cattle grazing.
Iowa residents are a hardy folk who must work through hot and humid summers and winters that see a lot of snowfall. Iowa must also endure over 50 thunderstorms a year and 40 tornadoes during its high risk seasons. Other interesting attractions in Iowa include the Nathaniel Hamlin Park and Museum, Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel, and Old O'Brien Glacial Trail. The Old O'Brien Glacial Trail will present visitors with a mixture of well preserved historic log cabins and modern farms.
Iowa is a land of prominent sports programs, such as the Burlington Bees minor league baseball team and Iowa paintball fields such as Metro Paintball Games and Fort Bowie Amusements. Fort Bowie Amusements is located in Eldon, Iowa. Metro Paintball Games has both indoor and outdoor fields that give players a complex where the paintball fun never ends. Metro is open Wednesday through Friday from 12pm to 10pm, Saturday 10am to 8pm, and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Metro fields can also be reserved for private paintball parties such as police paintball parties and birthday paintball parties. 2007 will feature many special events and promotions at this field, such as a Buddy Day, where players that buy 1 park fee get 1 free. Metro Paintball Games on June 22-25 will be closed for the PSP Chicago Open.
Other Iowa paintball fields will include Prairie Fire Paintball, Edge Paintball, Center Mass Paintball, and Action Jack's Paintball Games. Action Jack's has a 2007 schedule loaded with memorable special events, including Woodsball Tournaments, a Hillbilly Whiskey Wars, and a Big Game. Action Jack's have competitive speedball tournaments as well. On Saturday June 2, 2007, Action will host a 3-Man Round Robin format speedball tournament, played by NPPL guidelines. Some speedball teams lined up for the round robin include Rage II, 4 Real, Absolute, and Team Adventure Park. Action has a Freddy versus Jason Big Game event planned for October 2007.
