California is a land of cultural diversity, with a large Mexican-American population. California has many different types of geological terrains among its many lands, from its oceans in Malibu to its snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountain range in the east. In a matter of hours, a person could go change out of their beach clothes and into their skiing clothes, and do some skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Between California's mountainous regions in the east and the Oceanside west, there are rich fertile plains in Central California for farming various products. In the Central Valley, various fruits are grown that nourish millions of Americans across the country.
California, with is moderate climate and sunny days, has become a great region for paintball fields and tournaments. There are nearly 75 paintball fields in California from its northern to southern end. Some of the best fields in California include Blackbeards in Fresno, Desert Paintball in 29 Palms, and American Canyon Paintball Jungle in American Canyon. American Canyon Paintball Jungle offers a variety of open games, private group events, and special tournament events among its many paintball and Airsoft fields. This complex keeps inspiring players of all levels to come back, with its regular prize giveaways and special tournament events. The staff at American Canyon Paintball is very safety conscious, and they make sure that everyone has their barrel socks in when they are not a live player in a game. If you want to experience courses that you have never seen before, American Canyon is the place. The main scenario field is motivating, as it is a think wooded area with natural branch bunkers stacked up at strategic places. The scenario field has natural places to run for cover, with sections of high grass that are favorites among snipers. American Canyon offers long field hours for players to get many games in, paintball games such as Attack and Defend, Slayer, King of the Mountain, and Hospital.

At Arena Indoor Paintball players once had the opportunity to play paintball inside no matter what the weather conditions were. Other indoor paintball parks outside of California include Providence Indoor Paintball in Providence Rhode Island, and Combat Zone Indoor Paintball in Merritt Island Florida.
Other California paintball fields include Blackbeards in Fresno. Blackbeards is a multi-sport complex with other sporting events such as mini golf, a Water Park, Bumper Boats, and go cart track. Blackbeards is also known as Blackbeards Family Fun Center. The Fun Center has two paintball courses, a fully enclosed Speedball field, and a bigger Airball field. Players for these games may bring their own gear or rent some from the nearby Proshop.
