How do I choose among so many Markers?
There are so many things to take into consideration when shopping for a paintball marker. You may choose a marker based on how it feels in your hand, shots fired per second, or even based on the position you usually play in. In general, the most effective markers you can buy are the semi-automatic, high end electronic markers. The high end semi-automatics have a very sensitive trigger that allows you to take a shot with each tiny trigger press. And high-end semis often are equipped with mechanical feed loaders that allow you to shoot as many paintballs as you want. How much you spend on your marker will often depend on what stage you are in the game, or your experience level. A fairly new player will probably want to buy a used marker or a less expensive one, because he may not know how to use or maintain it properly. If you are going to wear out a paintball gun, don't wear out the E-Mag from Airgun Designs, which retails for around $1,200.00. And when we're talking about buying a less expensive marker, that doesn't mean you will be getting a piece of junk either. There are many great paintguns on the market that retail for less than $300.00, including the Dragonfly Mechanical. The Dragonfly Mechanical retails for around $300, but comes equipped with a tickler lpr, milled 45 Frame, wraparound grip, and bomb 3-way. This Dragonfly marker shoots deadly accurate missiles, and is quiet for those of you who do not want to give away your position.
When deciding on what paintball gun to buy, you must also consider what position you will most often be playing on the field. A sniper will often choose a different marker than the point man.
3 Basic Paintball Guns. The first thing a customer needs to know is that there are 3 basic paintballball guns, the electronic, semi-automatic, or pump gun. To survive more than two seconds on the field, one must choose either the electronic, or semi-automatic marker. Both of these machines will shoot paintballs almost as fast as you pull the trigger, and there are good machines available in the $300.00 range, and the $1,300.00 range. Customer should always choose a metal marker, as plastic ones are prone to warp or crack. Whether you are in the market for low or high end markers, there are many models that will give you a good value for your investment.

Low to Moderate End Markers. In the low to moderate range of markers, you may want to test out the Blind Rage from ACI www.airconcepts.com. The Blind Rage offers you a 15 degree kick front grip for an easier handling of the marker, and electronic trigger settings with a dual sided PC Board. This ACI model offers you the kind of features that you usually only see in high end models. The Blind Rage can blast up to 30 paintballs a second, and anyone who gets in your way with this machine will be in trouble. ACI also manufactures the Bulldog III Air System.
