Knee and Elbow Pads | Clothing
While any sane paintball player is smart enough to wear long pants and a long sleeved shirt, many are astute enough to wear extra protection as well. Extra protection may include chest and neck protectors, headwraps and slide shorts. Other protective paintball clothing a player might wear would include knee and elbow pads. Knee and Elbow Pads are essential in games where players will be doing a lot of heavy running and sliding, and especially in games where there are hostile ground surfaces. There are a number of regulations in place when it comes to tournament speedball surfaces, but some arenas will be better maintained than others. You only get one body, and it is best to wear everything that you will need in games to protect it from getting injured. Wearing knee and elbow pads will make sliding and diving behind bunkers a lot easier knowing that your limbs will be protected through hard impacts with the ground. Also, as an additional source of protection, some players wear shin pads to protect their entire lower body. Redz Shin Padz is a dual knee and shin protection system that is made of Kevlar, Velcro, and neoprene. When wearing the Redz Knee/Shin Padz, players will be prepared for any terrain they will need to navigate through to dodge bullets and remain in the game.
There are several knee and elbow pads that are made especially for the game of paintball. Some knee pads exclusively cover the players, knee while others go over the knee to also cover the shin and thigh. Dye C5 Knee Pads, Empire Grounder Pounder Knee Pads, and JT Tournament Knee Pads fit over a player's knee, supplying players with the cushion they need to kneel and shoot and make slides on their knees. JT Tournament Knee Pads have adjustable Velcro straps to secure them in place, and memory foam pads that allow the pads to mold into the unique contours of your body. Because it is so customizable, these pads can also be used as elbow pads. These knee pads are designed to take a beating and still remained secured to the area where you strapped them in. These pads also have 2 chambers of memory foam with a 3 layered neoprene design. Other shorter styled knee pads include the Mantis Knee Pads, Redz Knee Padz, and Smart Parts Exoskin Knee Pads.

Other knee protection systems are designed to protect the knees as well as areas above and below the knees. Flurry Industries Reaver Knee/Shin Guards and Empire Ventz SS Elbow Pads cover the players from the thighs all the way down to the shins. The Empire Ventz SS Elbow Pads are lined from top to bottom with molded EVA foam pads to absorb paintball and ground impacts. The system has several built in Velcro travel reducing cuffs so that you can play your whole game without having to stop and make adjustments.
