Temple | Inflatable Bunker
The Temple bunker is a four sided pyramid with the top cut off, so that it is flat at the top. The Temple bunker has also been called the Aztec. Bunkers such as the Temple have been used at Speedball tournaments such as the Canadian National Speedball Championships and the Canadian National Speedball Championships and Cal Jam, hosted by SC Village Paintball Park . Like other inflatable bunkers, the Temple is offered in the same basic shapes and prop actions but different sizes. At its biggest size, the Pyramid offers a player all of the protection he needs to hide behind and shoot out of the sides while standing up. The Temple is available in several sizes by companies such as Sup' Airball. Other manufacturers of inflatable bunkers include Ameri-Brand Products, Extreme Rage, and R2 Inflatable Bunkers. Sup' Airball offers the Temple bunker in three sizes: Temple, Maya, and Giant. The Temple and Maya Temple usually stand at about 5 and 6 feet tall, while the Giant Temple stands at 10 feet tall. The Giant Temple is much more angled rising to the top of the bunker, and with a much broader base than the Maya Temple and the Temple. The Temple bunkers are usually laid vertically, with the wide base parallel to the ground. Sometimes the Temple bunkers are usually laid vertically, with the wide base parallel to the ground. Sometimes the Temple bunker are laid on its side and combined with other bunkers to create a very custom shape.

The Temple bunker has a number of strengths and challenges that are associated with its multiple sizes and portions. Because this bunker angles inward as it slants upward, players must watch their body as they stand behind it. Players must watch their paintball gun and body to make sure that no part of their profile is exposed to an opposing player. When stopping from out of the side of the temple, the arms, torso, and upper body will be the first parts exposed to the opposition, unless the player leads with the head. A player must be careful about what sections of his body or marker are exposed to the opposition. Bunkers like the Pyramid are seen on paintball fields at tournament series like the Prairie Speedball League Eclipse Paintball Association, the Australian Xball League, and the Finnish Paintball Association.
The Temple bunker is not the only bunker that is pyramid shaped. The Dorito also has a broad base and angles inward towards the top. The Dorito is different though because it is a three sided structure and meets in a point at the top, much like an Egyptian pyramid. Some other companies that offer the Temple besides Sup' Airball include R2 Inflatable Bunkers, Sup' Universe, and Mighty Paintball Corporation www.mightypaintball.com. Another resource for finding the Temple bunker is First Call Paintball. First Call Paintball sells a 4 foot Miti Temple that is colored in red, green, and black with silhouettes of paintball players running, standing, and kneeling as they shoot at the enemy.
