Cross / Inflatable Bunker
The cross Inflatable Bunker is similar in shape to the famous X Bunker, but the 4 sides cross each other at right angles. Unlike the Christian cross all 4 sides this inflatable are the same side. The sides of the Cross bunker are also thinner than the X. While the X is a towering bunker that is usually seen at the center of midfield if present, the cross can usually be seen lying on its side. Other bunkers that may be present on the same field as the Cross include the Burger, Bumper, and Snake. Bunkers such as these from Sup' Airball can be seen in tournaments from leagues such as the PSP, the NPPL Super 7, and the CXBL.
The CSBL hit the ground running in 2007, with early tournament events from the CX4, MXL, and CBXL conferences. Events from the CBXL, MXL, and CX4, will take place all over the provinces of Canada, and venues such as Tsawwassen Paintball and Young Guns Paintball.
Young Gun's Paintball has the fields and facilities to hose the biggest events in the CBXL. Young Guns is also open for business for casual games and team practices from some of the most competitive paintball teams in Canada. Young Guns is a very diverse paintball complex with many different types of fields, including the type of airball fields where you would see the Wing, Pony Keg and Cross bunkers. Players can come back to this same field every week not lose their interest with this diverse array of fields designs, bunker arrangements, and courses. Some of these Young Guns Paintball fields include Tic Tac Toe, Snakes and Ladder's Phase 1, Desert Storm Jungle, Grave Yard, and Viny Ridge. Players would need to return to this complex a lot of times before this entertainment complex gets old. If you are into the speedball format, Y6P has a custom designed 5 Man Airball course. Another field that would consist of similar style bunker arrangements would be their X Ball field. The XBall field is a huge speedball course with a soft grass surface on a relatively level field. Some inflatables that you may see on this X-Ball fields may be the Cross Bunker, Cylinder, Cube, and Half Moon. The American Extreme Paintball League also host games played in the X-Ball format. A significant number of AXBL events will take place at Atlas Paintball. At Atlas Paintball, AXPL teams such as the Fort Drum Demons and the Newark Jesters will commit acts of daring bunkering and offhand shooting to gain any edge they can in tournament games.
