Bumper | Inflatable Bunker
The Bumper is like a long Half Moon bunker but extended in length. The Bumper is a half of a sphere elongated by about 8 feet. The Bumper is about 6 feet tall and provides players plenty of cover when they run behind them. Several manufacturers produce this bunker, including Mighty Paintball. Mighty Paintball produces inflatable bunkers that comes in several different shapes and sizes including the Brick, Bumper, Cannon, and Cone. The Cone may look like a giant dunce hat, but it has saved the lives of many a paintball player in speedball matches. The Cannon is one of Mighty's specialty bunkers that are sold for scenario games. Other specialty scenario bunkers that they sell include rocks, torsos, trees, cannons, tanks, and rockets. These types of bunkers serve to make speedball and scenario games more unique, and offer players unlimited angles to shoot from and run to cover to avoid elimination. As of this writing, the Bumper bunker was offered in one size by the Mighty Paintball Corporation, about 5.5 feet high and 10 feet long. Other bunkers offered is their Individual Smart Bunker series included the Cylinder Cone, Cannon, Brick, and Beam.

The Mighty Paintball Corporation offers some of their inflatables from the Smart Bunker series in several sizes. Their Cylinder bunkers are available in sizes of 8 feet, 6 feet, and 4 feet in height. These bunkers are named the Giant Cylinder, Medium Cylinder, and Small Cylinder, respectively. Their beam bunker is available in lengths of 5 feet and 10 feet. Their brick is available in heights of 4 feet and 66 feet. Other paintball manufacturers offer Brick Bunkers in 4 or more vertical heights Sup' AirBall www.supairball.com has 5 Brick bunkers: Baby, Medium, Regular, Giant, and Mega. These brick bunkers are all 4-5 feet in width, with several heights that challenge the players behind the bunkers as well as the opposing players charging towards them. The Baby Bunker stands at 3 feet, the Medium Brick is 3-7 feet, the Regular Brick is 6 feet, the Giant Brick is 10 feet, and the Mega Brick is 13 feet. The Brick is a popular bunker for dodging paint bullets because of its large surface area ample space for protection.
If you are looking for airball games that use bunkers like the Bumper bunker, there are hundreds throughout the United States. At Paranoid Paintball, there is a 10 man HyperBall Field, 7 Man Kapp Airball field, and X-Ball Field. Those fields are open every day except Tuesday, for regularly scheduled games. Paranoid Paintball, also hosts several tournaments throughout the year, including several in 2006/2007. In Paranoid's October 14th 2006 tourney, they gave out $4,500 in cash and product prizes. The October 2006 tournament included three divisions: the 3-man Newbie (Hopperball) 5-man Rookie, and 5-man Open. Only field paint is allowed for use in their tournaments. White Box, Midnight Blaze, Inferno, and Hellfire Paintball were available as their field paint.
