The Big Game
The Big Game, or large paintball games, has become a popular new offshoot of the scenario games series. The Big Game is usually a paintball game that can have over 10 players on each side, and take place for as long as 24 hours. Large paintball games such as these often simulate real events such as the storming of Normandy Beach at D-Day, or even the Civil War. These large paintball games offer players the thrill of a real battle but get to go home at the end of the event with their health intact.

The Big Game, is a huge event, with as many as hundreds of players participating. Organizers of the Big Game pull out all the stops, creating an exciting 24 hours of fun and paintball. Most large paintball games such as these take place over the course of 24 hours. The event will usually be preceded by a big party the night before. Obstacles and cover points on the field may include natural objects such as rocks as well as some man made ones, including tanks, land mines, paint grenades, fortresses, bunkers, and under ground bunkers. The last event in the Big Game will often include one final massive battle where everyone comes out of hiding and shoots each other in an apocalyptic battle.
As stated before, The Big Game is usually organized around a popular theme, especially real life military conflicts. As the main component and weapon of the game is the shooting of the paintball gun, modern military conflicts like World War I and World War II are natural choices. Other themes from other times naturally lend themselves to large scenario games, such as the big game. Some popular elements and themes to large paintball games are castles, forts, large fields, tanks, helicopters, and fortresses. All of these events bring the cops and robbers, cowboys and Indians fantasy to the next level.
The Big Game of big scenario game is played under a number of formats. The Big Game may be played as the total elimination, it may be a massive game of capture the flag, or it may involve some fort that needs to be defended. Some paintball fields for the Big Game may have a huge fort that is surrounded with high walls and towers for repelling an invasion. The outcome of the Big Game may be decided on whether the attackers are able to storm the fort. Remember that when you decide to storm the fort, there will be some heavy casualties.
The Big Game offers lots of action and paintballs whizzing around the field for the entire day. To keep things from getting confusing, storylines and themes are kept simple, and a lot of movement is encouraged. In well organized games, teams are organized into companies and action squads. Most Big Games have a general commanding these actions squads and companies. Before the start of the Big Game, the general is given a list of assignments to complete. The side that completes the most assignments will be victorious in the Big Game.
