Airsoft Gun
An airsoft gun operates in a very similar way to a paintball gun, but there are some key differences. Airsoft guns use a different type of projectile. The ammo used in airsoft guns are less prone to breaking inside the barrel of the gun. Because airsoft projectiles are less likely to break inside the breach or barrel of the gun, the airsoft gun is less likely to jam when used. While there are some key differences between the airsoft gun and paintball marker, there are also some key similarities. Both the airsoft gun and some key similarities. Both the airsoft gun and Milsim paintball gun are both made to resemble real life firearms that are used by the military. Many airsoft and paintball guns used for military themed games look similar to the AK47 used by the United States Military.

The AK47 is famous for its feared fire power and came to prominence at the beginning of the Cold War. The AK47 was such a well-built and effective military firearm, that it is still manufactured today. Some paintball guns that resemble the AK47 include the Tippman X7, the Ariakon Oreland Paintball Pistol, and the Special Ops Paintball A-5A2 camo. Some well known airsoft guns include the Systema Gun, I Chih Shivan ICS-29 CQB Pistol, and the KSC Corporation HK33K Motor Drive. The HK33K motor drive looks like a real military firearm, complete with scopes for targeting far off targets. Hudson, Olympic Arms, Maruzen, and Airsoft Elite are also prolific manufacturers of the airsoft gun and other year related to the sport of airsoft.
Both airsoft and paintball guns look like authentic military firearms, but shoot harmless ammo that rarely cause serious injury. Both of these designs of firearms shoot small projectiles that signal player elimination if they hit their target. The airsoft projectile, at a diameter of 0.24 - 0.32 inches, is much smaller than a paintball. Usually, paintballs are between 0.60 - 0.70 inches with a thin gelatin shell that is designed to break on impact with a player. Some popular lines of paintballs include Team colors paintballs from 32 Degrees, and circuit paintballs from Blue Arc. Most paintball guns are powered by air, either in the form of N2, CO2 or high pressure air. An airsoft gun may be powered by gas power, spring action, or electric. Some airsoft guns on the market include the AE6 from Star Airsoft Accessories, the Semi/Full Auto from KWC, and the M14-SOCOM C.Q.B. rifle 308 from Tokyo Marui. Tokyo Marui manufacturers the Glock 17 and the MP7A1 also. The guns and tanks that are built by Tokyo Marui are so realistic that they take a very close inspection to distinguish from the real think. The airsoft gun is spring powered, gas powered, or electric. Electric guns have build in electric motors that thrust the paintball forward and out of the barrel. This technology is very different from that of the electronic paintball marker. In the electric airsoft gun, a batter powers an electric motor in the gun that compresses a piston assembly against a spring.
